It's hard to find family games that are fun and challenging for both kids and adults, but Rummikub fills the bill on all counts. The rules are simple, the game is varied, and the fun is free for everyone! This version of Rummikub has 106 plastic tiles with numbers in different colors and four dark-blue plastic tile racks to hold the tiles during play. The object is similar to rummy card games, combining your tiles in runs (consecutive numbers in the same color) or sets (groups of the same number). The game rolls along at a fast clip, with wild-card joker tiles adding a bit of luck to the strategy needed to win. A slightly challenging, depending on your skill and age, game with some decent competition thrown in. As you hope to not have to draw anymore tiles, you also hope that with your mutual playing board, someone doesn't take your next move. Having to start out with a specific amount before being allowed to begin your hand can get you to collect quite a bit of tiles as well. Fun for everyone, play for hours.

Bought this to have an easy sociable game when at my dads. This time played with my brother and next trip my daughter & I will play. If you like Gin Rummy you will love this game. Unless you drive over the racks with a vehicle I can't see ever having to replace it.
