4 out of 5 stars pros and cons of risk   June 10, 2010
0 out of 1 found this review helpful

overall it was pretty good i liked the new arrowhead pieces and the red ocean makes it look more exiting. the instructions didn't help much at all. if your a beginer i would not recomend this. however if youve played the classic version than isrongly encourage you to buy this version. its realy fun, ive stayed up till 2:00 am playing this and never getting bored. te games durable though there arnt enough pieces in each set ive had to use other colors while playing too.
the gameplays faster and way more fun than the origanal. so pretty much experienced people buy inexpeirianced dont buy it unless up for a challenge

5 out of 5 stars Adapted the Game   May 17, 2010

We adapted the pieces and board for this game to create another game. Worked out great.

4 out of 5 stars It is a good strategic game...   May 2, 2010

This game takes about 1 hour to set up. The arrows for troops isn't my favorite either. It is a great game to prove your strategic skills. Some of my buddies and me play sometimes, I usually win. Over all, the game is great.

4 out of 5 stars Still a classic   February 23, 2010

There are some major and minor changes to the rules in this edition, but gameplay is still basically the same, and you can still play under the old rules if you wish. Hours of fun if you can get 3 or 4 together willing to put in the time to play the game correctly.

4 out of 5 stars Good Variation of a Classic Game   January 31, 2010
W. Taylor (Ellicott City, MD)
I played Risk with my father, brothers and friends when I was a kid. I bought this game for my son and he really enjoys it. The new rules provide an interesting variation on classic Risk and allows us to finish a game within a more reasonable timeframe. In my experience, Risk has always been a game that appeals to boys and not girls; in our home, this remains the case.
