Customer Reviews: Style over Substance and prone to Breaking...April 3, 2010 Andrey Dravinski(Los Angeles California) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have to admit I was eager to get my hands on these models as soon as the new model announcements hit for the 5th edition codex. These were released around the same time as the Sternguard Models to coincide with the splash release of the new SM Codex.
Unfortunatley, unlike the Sternguard models, the build quality and model positioning severely detract from the overall quality of the minitures and make transporting them quite a pain. All of the models are "perched" on modeled terrain that's part of the model itself. As a result, the models stick out upwards quite a fair amount and are severely top-heavy. This makes balancing and more importantly transporting them, quite frankly more hassle than they should be. You will pretty much have to cut out custom foam spots for them as the standard ones found in most figure transport cases are not big enough to handle them safely.
This is another case where your pinning skills will be put to use, as they are simply too prone to snapping apart due to their pose design to assemble them in any other way.
