Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Killer Bunnies is a fast-paced, action-filled card game in which you must try to keep as many Bunnies alive as possible while eliminating your opponents' Bunnies. The problem: Your opponents are armed with weapons and will stop at nothing to keep you from winning the game. Be careful -- it can get dreadfully vengeful, horribly nasty, hilariously messy and just plain fun. Can you keep from being attacked by the whimsical Whisk or the torching Flame Thrower' Defend your Bunnies with the Magic Spatula, or use a Feed The Bunny card to starve out an opponent. It's off-the-wall strategic fun, where the goal is to survive and claim the Magic Carrot to win the game.

5 out of 5 stars one of the greatest games i've ever played   August 25, 2010
Most people who read the label for a Killer Bunnies game will think that it's a stupid game that makes no sense. Well they are totally wrong! Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot is a fast paced, action packed game where anything could go wrong for you or your opponents. The game is simply about getting bunnies, getting carrots, and killing your opponents bunnies. In adition to the fun from all of the action, there is also a bit of humor from the sci-fi cards and weapons. I mean, once I killed my friends bunny with a slingshot and another time two friends killed each other with a kitchen whisk and a loose stalactite. I think that a lot of people who don't even bother to read the label at stores would love this game.

Even though Killer Bunnies is fast paced, it is a very long game. Even though a turn may be as short as 10 seconds. The game can go on for up to 1 hour with the starter. It may not be as long as monopoly but for most people I think that's a very big chunk of time. And this isn't even counting the booster decks, which makes the game a whole lot better, but takes an extra 2 hours to play! This isn't a problem for me because I'm a kid! I have up to 5 free hours a day in the summer! For those people who don't have that much time if you put the game in an area that you don't use daily, like a dinner table or a couch, the game can carry over to the next day. But if you don't even want it to last that long, then start the game with everyone getting 1 to 3 carrots to start.

There are only 1 problem with the game. Usually in the game with a lot of my friends, there are alliances. We get so into Killer Bunnies that people discuss stratagy during breaks, before the game if secret alliances are made, or even to the extent of not helping a friend with something because they're not in an aliance. My group friendship was almost lost and this might happen to you. But if you don't take a game THAT seriously, then you will definettly love Killer Bunnies.

5 out of 5 stars Killer Bunnies   August 15, 2010

A really fun game. I'd recommend for Teens. Its a card game so how durable is it? Depends on how well the kids care for cards...hehehe

5 out of 5 stars FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!   February 3, 2010

Killer Bunnies is AWESOME!!!! It is entertaining and silly...and just plain fun to play!! I have already bought the next expansion kit, and cannot wait to get more of them. My whole family loves this game too. It has quickly become the goto game of choice for us all! The cards are of great quality (thicker and glossier than regular playing cards), the graphics are funny, and the imagination of the designers is second to none.

1 out of 5 stars A video game in board game form--too complicated and boring   January 25, 2010

I'd heard great things about this game from my son, so we finally ordered it. After plowing through countless rules and instructions and trying several times to play the game, I finally got the hang of it. Unfortunately, all that work wasn't worth it--this is fundamentally a boring game, and the fact that a random carrot determines the winner at the end makes things even worse. I found all the cards and rules needlessly complex and irritating--the game is very much like a video game (with endless rules, twists, flukes, etc.) in board form. My husband tried playing too and gave up. Not worth it, especially considering all the extra sets the company wants you to buy.

4 out of 5 stars Bunnies Beware   January 19, 2010

First off, this review is _only_ for the starter Set. Adding in the extra card packs looks like it could significantly alter the game. So onto the review.

This is a fun game. Emphasis on the words "fun" and "game". There is no strategy to this game. None. Nada. Zilch. At least when it comes to playing cards, that is.
One of the people we played with said of "Next time, I'm not even going to look at my cards; I'll play them blind". And he won. It's entirely random and frenetic.

It's a game best played with many people, as the social aspect of the game is where all the strategy is. Four is the _minimum_, and I think it would be great with 8-10. Trading cards, building alliances, backstabbing, etc. are huge parts of the game. If you're looking for a 'card game' for serious, thinking players who need to have strategies and clear cut winners, this isn't the game for you. If you're looking for a game that's lighthearted fun that you _can't_ take seriously, then this would fit the bill nicely.

PS: This is almost a must, and I'm sort of shocked they don't include it with the game. Explains all the various cards, their interactions and some of the inevitable "house rules": Quest Card Companion 3.0.pdf
